Using the most advanced
technology of graphite/fiberglass composite engineering,
GTi has created new composite shafts for high performance
metal woods and irons. The PowerFlex shaft, developed
and manufactured exclusively for GTi by True Temper Sports,
contains 70% graphite and 30 %
fiberglass.

The filaments of
the fiberglass, like the graphite, are produced as long strands
and are vertically intertwined. For added strength, a double
layer of fiberglass is wrapped diagonally along the entire length
of the shaft. This adds responsiveness to the graphite and causes
the shaft to absorb more shock at impact, giving it a great
feel. Independent labs test results proved the PowerFlex shaft
had less vibration when compared with other leading brands.

The resilient flexing properties of fiberglass, and its unique ability
to store energy allows the shaft to act like a whip, releasing
energy effortlessly, and delivering this extra power at impact.
This is by no means a flimsy whipping action, but an engineered
"kick"- a controlled, powerful, flex. In fact, a graphic representation
of this technology is reflected in the GTi logo itself.

The PowerFlex action allows the shaft to flex much more in the down swing.
Other shaft designs unflex too early, reducing club head speed and thus,
depriving the individual of distance. As the PowerFlex shaft moves forward
in the down swing, it unloads extra power to explode through the ball. Designed
with proper torque, the shaft also brings the club head square at contact for
more accuracy.
